Not every ride from home stays local — a proper day trip to a different canton entirely.
Ridden 12 August 2018 — a genuine excursion rather than a home loop, out to Canton Zug and its own lake. Surprisingly hilly for a "trip out": the climbing total here beats every other home-turf ride except Chasseral.
Route data (from Strava): 55.1km, 1,404m of climbing, max grade 48.4% — nearly as much climbing as the much longer Chasseral ride, packed into a shorter distance.
The route, from my own GPS track
The actual recorded route, plotted from my own Strava GPX/FIT data onto a real OpenStreetMap base — not a screenshot, not a live embed, a static image built from the real GPS track.
