A blanket of fog sat over home for days — so the answer was to drive to Saignelégier and outride it, finishing in the dark.

Ridden 29 November 2014, logged as a Strava monthly challenge completed, with the full story in my own words: "A blanket of fog sits in the area were we live and stays for days. Decided on a trip to Saignelgier for the challenge this month. Last 2 hours completed in the dark..."

At 131.3km it’s by a wide margin the longest ride in the Goumois history on this site — nearly double the next longest — and the only one deliberately finished after dark.

Route data (from Strava): 131.3km, 2,246m of climbing, max grade 22.9% — the biggest single day anywhere in the Goumois rides, both for distance and for climbing.
